After the development of the REC programme, the five REC Labs – video making workshops to prevent violence among youth – were tested by the organizations involved in the project.

The labs were carried out over a 10-month period by 10 youth workers; their implementation was assisted by 3 EVS volunteers and more than 120 youngsters were actively involved as participants. Those youngsters from different countries and backgrounds had the chance to create a unique collection of experimental videos which aim is to raise awareness about violence and contribute to the creation of more inclusive and respectful communities.

The REC Documentary Film has been produced to show through images and through the voices of the people involved in the project what this experience meant to them.
