About the arrival of the Indonesian REC volunteer at CJD, Frechen, Germany
On the 2nd of September 2019, Asry Tesalonika (also called Tesa), a volunteer from Indonesia came to CJD BBW Frechen as part of the ‘REC’ project. She will be doing a 12-month intensive internship at the CJDs International Project Department for one year as an EVS volunteer. All costs are covered by the DG EAC, Erasmus+ KA2 Capacity Building in the field of Youth programme.
The programme is a collaborative education program for CJD Verbund NRW Süd / Rheinland (Germany) with Fundación INTRAS (Spain), CESIE (Italy), ITF (Kenya), and the Dejavato Foundation (Indonesia). It aims to raise the youngsters’ awareness on violence and its negative impacts.
In Frechen, Germany, Tesa will support the local project coordinator and CJDs trainers with the implementation of REC’s activities, especially the different LABs and the development of the videos about violence prevention.
To add on, Tesa will cooperate in experience-educational projects and support other Erasmus+ projects during her stay at CJD Frechen, in order to gain experience about CJDs work in general, and also take part in several seminars for EVS volunteers.
Aside from her internship, she got a chance to take on non-formal education (German language course) and to live together with the young people and some of her CJD colleagues at the campus in Frechen to experience the everyday life in Germany.
Welcome Tesa!
